We are born and raised Marylanders. We love Annapolis, crabs, Old Bay, and the O's (well that one is more me... I married a Cardinals fan). We met when I was 12 and he was 14, and that's when it all started. Fast forward through many on-again-off-again stories, and the 2 of us became the 4 of us:
We added Winston and Jack in 2008. We love them way too much (if that's even possible).

A proposal on 6 Sept 2009, while on RnR from a 10 month deployment to Iraq. Did I mention I married a Marine?
That brings us to our next stop:

After that we settled into married life at our first duty station as husband and wife - Camp Lejeune. 2011 brought another deployment. This time 6 months in Afghanistan:
Yes, he left when I was 30 weeks pregnant. No, he didn't get to come home for the birth of our son. But they got to finally meet when Dad came home:
We spent a wonderful year together as a family, then we learned of our next duty station.
It was a big move and we are currently residing here:

That's right, this red-blooded American family is now living in the land down under.
And there you have it! The severely abridged version of how we came to be a Marine family, with a little man, and 2 awesome dogs. This is our life. These are our moments. Semper Fi!
