i bet you thought it was over

So my obsession with my wedding isn't over yet! Even though we've been married for 89 days (uh oh our 10% discount on registry completetion items at Macy's expires tomorrow). I would like to say that I officially have changed my name (and residency)! I finally feel like I'm married (only kidding). But seriously, what a relief to have this process over with.

I was told several times of a service at www.missnowmrs.com which I can sort of say I looked into. But basically I'm stubborn and I wanted to do it on my own. It only took a cool 68 days, but it's almost done! I have a new social security card, a new license (finally!), a military ID, health insurance and car insurance that all believe I'm married. Oh, and my bank account knows, I'm just waiting on the new card (we already got the checks with both our names - oh the excitement married life brings). The only thing left is my passport, and that can wait til we have an international trip planned, which I already know won't be for a long, long time.

Check out my driver's license, new state and new name (I promise it's there, but I just don't want all my info out there for the world to see...)

day after shoot

It took a lot of convincing, but I managed to 'persuade' Patrick into letting us do a photo shoot the day after our wedding. Correction, the morning after our wedding. To be exact, 7 in the morning. Well, it was apparent sometime in the night that we wouldn't be able to make our appointment with our photographer. I texted her at some ridiculous hour and asked if it would be ok to push back our meeting time an hour. She agreed and we were set to meet at 8 am. Patrick was still not feeling 100%, but he suffered through the shoot and we ended up with these fabulous shots, courtesy of Melissa Barrick:

In hindsight, we couldn't have made a better decision! Since we started so late we didn't get as many posed pictures the day of that we would have liked, so this day after shoot allowed us to get plenty! Thanks again Melissa!

Good ol' Taio Cruz, I want to thank him for providing the official theme song for the wedding weekend. We heard it once at a bar after the rehearsal dinner, and it seemed to get stuck in everyone's head. I heard it was played on repeat back at the hotel too!

I'm pretty sure that everyone present will agree when I say the reception was a pretty stellar dance party. Don't believe me? Look for yourselves... Thanks to Lisa & Steph for the pictures!

I am lucky enough to have had 6 amazing, and beautiful roommates in college. If you include (which I do) our honorary roommate, and my soulmate (no, not Pat) then the count comes to 9 (including me).

This is a tribute to my very best friends, who have shared all the very best and very worst times with each other, and who are like sisters to me. I don't know where I'd be if it weren't for you girls these past 6 years! I love you all (we missed you SO much Kiki)!

this picture is being posted for the sole reason that it is proof that my sister (& matron of honor) Kelly cried! I knew I saw her crying during the ceremony, and when I called her out on it (because it made me cry MORE) she said "what?! I didn't cry!" GOTCHA (love you)!

Pretty self explanatory... key points of the ceremony: started 45 minutes late (due to hair crisis), pretty much everybody cried (me the most I think), the music might have been my favorite part (it included the Beach Boys, the Beatles, the La's and Jason Mraz... oh and who could forget - my aunt singing!), and the youngest people in our wedding party made it so cute!

Whitaker, my nephew and a ring bearer, escorted my mom down the aisle because he refused to leave her side. His dad and younger (3 month old) brother also walked with them. Pat's niece Mackenzie walked with her mom and dad instead of the flower girls. She was doing a great job walking in the sand for a 17 month old, but ended up getting scooped up by her mom mid-aisle (love it)!

And my nieces Reese and Hadley did the most outstanding job throwing flower petals, they perfect outlined an aisle for me.

My nephew Brett who walked down in the proper order took his job SO seriously I can't even stand how cute it was (& he's 5). My jr. bridesmaid and groomsmen, niece and nephew Carson & Griffin looked so good they could be models. I am so unbelieveably lucky to have this family!

Last but CERTAINLY not least is perhaps my favorite picture of the day, captured by Owen. On first glance it is a sweet picture of our first kiss. Upon closer examination, it appears that Whit is picking his nose in the foreground! Unfortunately, it is not quite that exciting, he actually has a lollipop in his mouth. But he's still pretty darn cute!
